Pump Station Replacement in Gulfport
With an impressive 316,000 GPM pumping capacity, this award-winning pump station protects hundreds of individuals, Highway 34, and 13,000 acres of farmland.
- Andy Hasel construction (AHC) water resources engineers reused some of the existing infrastructure for their highly-efficient siphonic design and handled all permitting.
- The structural engineering elevated all critical elements above the 500-year flood level.
- MEP engineers designed a new electric pump and motor system, as well as the rehabilitation of the 1995 diesel pump.
The final station gives Henderson County Drainage Districts #1 and #2 dependable protection with remote operation capabilities – all for just under the project’s grant allowance.




New Ralls County Water Treatment Plant
Every aspect of this new facility is designed to support AHC specialized treatment process.
- The raw drinking water treatment involves the addition of high-density lime to remove iron and manganese as well as breakpoint chlorination for ammonia removal.
- Structural engineering utilized insulated metal roof panels and insulated concrete form construction to enhance energy efficiency.
- A high-capacity dehumidification system was designed by our MEP engineers to reduce condensation within the building.
- Surveying handled all easements.
Our work spread outside of the building as well, including groundwater alluvial wells and the water transmission main into the system.
